Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography (CTCA) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses advanced computed tomography (CT) scanners to visualize the coronary arteries and detect blockages or narrowing caused by plaque buildup. In India, CTCA has become an increasingly popular diagnostic tool for coronary artery disease (CAD), especially in urban hospitals and cardiac centers. Unlike traditional invasive coronary angiography, CTCA does not require catheter insertion, making it safer, quicker, and more comfortable for patients. It is typically recommended for individuals with atypical chest pain, equivocal stress test results, or those at moderate risk of CAD.
