National Learning Network
Full Form of NLN
What is NLN?
The National Learning Network (NLN) is a digital infrastructure initiative aimed at connecting educational institutions, students, and educators across India through a unified online platform. It facilitates collaborative learning, resource sharing, and real-time interaction, especially in remote and underserved regions. NLN is often referenced in government policy documents and education technology blueprints, such as the National Education Policy 2020, to promote equitable access to quality education. It is used by schools, colleges, and vocational training centres to host virtual classrooms, digital libraries, and assessment tools. While not a standalone government scheme, NLN is a conceptual framework that integrates existing platforms like DIKSHA and SWAYAM into a broader interoperable network. For competitive exams like UGC NET or CTET, candidates may encounter NLN in questions on digital education initiatives in India. The network emphasises bridging the digital divide and enabling lifelong learning through open educational resources. Although still in a developmental phase, NLN represents India's push towards technology-driven pedagogy and inclusive education reform.
