Indian Zonal Verification
Full Form of IZV
What is IZV?
Indian Zonal Verification (IZV) is a standardized process used by government recruitment agencies in India to authenticate documents and credentials of candidates across different geographic zones. It is primarily employed by organizations such as the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and various state public service commissions during the final stages of selection. The IZV procedure involves cross-checking educational certificates, identity proofs, caste certificates, and address proofs directly with the issuing authorities to prevent fraud and ensure eligibility. Zonal verification centres are established in major cities, and candidates are assigned to their respective zones based on their domicile or exam centre. The process typically takes two to four months after the declaration of final results. For exam aspirants, understanding the IZV timeline is crucial because any discrepancy can delay job offers or lead to disqualification. This system enhances transparency and fairness in government hiring, particularly in large-scale recruitment exams like banking, railways, and civil services. It is a key step that candidates must navigate carefully to secure their positions.
