Teaching Learning Process
Full Form of TLP
What is TLP?
Teaching Learning Process (TLP) refers to the structured methodology that educators use to deliver knowledge and facilitate understanding among students. It encompasses lesson planning, instructional strategies, classroom activities, assessment methods, and feedback mechanisms that together shape how teaching happens and how students absorb information. In India, TLP is a foundational concept discussed extensively in teacher training programs, B.Ed and M.Ed curricula, and academic workshops conducted by institutions like NCERT, SCERTs, and various state education boards. The National Education Policy 2020 also emphasises strengthening the TLP through competency-based learning, experiential methods, and integration of technology. Schools across India follow TLP frameworks to design their academic calendars, periodic tests, and remedial sessions. Understanding the TLP is vital for aspiring teachers appearing for central teaching eligibility exams such as CTET, UGC NET in Education, KVS, NVS, and state-level TETs where questions frequently appear on pedagogical approaches, learning theories of Piaget and Vygotsky, and Bloom's taxonomy applied to classroom practices.
