What is QSK?
A Quick Service Kiosk (QSK) is a self-service electronic machine that allows bank customers to perform routine financial transactions without human assistance. In India, QSKs are widely deployed by public and private sector banks to decongest branches, reduce waiting times, and extend banking hours beyond traditional counters. These kiosks enable users to deposit cash and cheques, withdraw money, print mini statements, update passbooks, and even open new accounts through integrated digital onboarding. Banks like State Bank of India, HDFC, and ICICI have installed QSKs in urban and semi-urban centres, often near ATMs or in branch lobbies. The machines are touchscreen-operated with multilingual interfaces, including Hindi, English, and regional languages, making them accessible to diverse customer segments.
