One Nation One Fertilizer (ONF) is a flagship scheme launched by the Government of India in October 2022 under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. It mandates that all subsidized fertilizers—such as urea, DAP, MOP, and NPK—be sold under the single common brand name 'Bharat' across the country. The objective is to ensure uniform quality, curb black marketing, and eliminate regional price variations. Under ONF, fertilizer companies retain their manufacturing identity but market their products through the Bharat brand, simplifying procurement for farmers. The scheme also promotes soil health by linking fertilizer sales to the Soil Health Card database. Implemented progressively from January 2023, ONF covers over 50 crore bags annually and is a key pillar of India's agricultural policy aimed at doubling farmer income.
