What is IRS?
The Indian Revenue Service (IRS) is a premier civil service under the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), functioning under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It is one of the three All India Services along with IAS and IPS.
