Document Quality Check
Full Form of DQC
What is DQC?
Document Quality Check (DQC) is a verification process used in Indian government recruitment and examination systems to assess the authenticity, completeness, and correctness of documents submitted by candidates. This step typically occurs after a candidate clears the written exam or interview, during the document verification stage. In India, DQC is employed by major recruiting bodies such as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), and various state-level agencies. The process involves checking certificates for educational qualifications, age, caste, identity, and experience against the eligibility criteria and original records. Any discrepancy, forgery, or missing document can lead to immediate disqualification, making DQC a critical gatekeeper for ensuring merit-based selection. It is also used in banking exams like those conducted by IBPS and SBI. For students and job seekers, understanding DQC requirements is essential, as poorly prepared documents can waste months of effort. The term frequently appears in exam notifications and official correspondence, and candidates are advised to keep attested photocopies and originals ready. While DQC itself is not a subject taught in exams, its importance in the recruitment lifecycle makes it a key concept for any government job aspirant.
