What is ADE?

The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) is a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in India, headquartered in Bengaluru. Established in 1972, ADE focuses on the design, development, and integration of advanced aeronautical systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), flight control systems, avionics, and aerospace technologies. It plays a pivotal role in India's indigenous defence capabilities by developing critical systems for fighter jets like the Tejas and the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme.
