VTY lines are virtual terminal ports that allow network administrators to establish remote command-line sessions with devices using protocols such as Telnet or SSH. Unlike physical console ports, VTY lines are purely software-based and can support multiple concurrent remote sessions, making them essential for managing large-scale enterprise networks.
