Voltage Feedback
Full Form of VFB
What is VFB?
Voltage Feedback, commonly abbreviated as VFB, refers to a type of operational amplifier configuration where the output voltage is fed back to the input stage to control the gain, bandwidth, and overall performance of the circuit. In the Indian electronics and electrical engineering ecosystem, VFB amplifiers are extensively taught in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, forming a fundamental topic in subjects like analog electronics, signal processing, and integrated circuit design. They are widely used in Indian semiconductor research labs, design firms in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, and in academic institutions such as IITs and NITs. The VFB topology contrasts with current feedback amplifiers and is preferred in applications requiring high precision, low noise, and excellent DC accuracy. Indian engineering students preparing for competitive examinations such as GATE, IES, PSU recruitments, and university semester tests frequently study VFB concepts including stability analysis, frequency compensation, and slew rate calculations. Practical applications span audio equipment, instrumentation systems, active filters, and consumer electronics manufactured across India.
