Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited, popularly referred to as UJVN or UJV, is a state-owned hydroelectric power generation company headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Established in 2001, shortly after the creation of Uttarakhand as a separate state, the organization was set up by the state government to develop, operate, and maintain hydroelectric power projects by harnessing the abundant water resources flowing through rivers such as the Ganga, Yamuna, Bhagirathi, Alaknanda, and Tons.
