What is RMC?

Ready Mix Concrete, commonly abbreviated as RMC, refers to a specialised type of concrete that is manufactured in a factory or batching plant according to a set engineered formula and then delivered to construction sites in transit mixers. In India, the RMC industry has witnessed substantial growth over the past two decades, driven by rapid urbanisation, infrastructure development, and the government's push for smart cities and affordable housing projects. Leading RMC manufacturers in the country include UltraTech, ACC, Dalmia, and Lafarge, operating hundreds of plants across major metropolitan and tier-2 cities.
