In India, LFBs are widely used in microbiology, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical laboratories, as well as in hospital pharmacies and research institutions, for tasks such as culturing microorganisms, preparing tissue samples, and handling sensitive reagents. The bench typically incorporates a HEPA filter that removes 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. Indian educational institutions, from class 12 science labs to postgraduate research centres, rely on LFBs to maintain aseptic conditions during practical experiments.
