District Quality Assurance
Full Form of DQA
What is DQA?
District Quality Assurance (DQA) is a framework implemented in India under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to monitor and improve the quality of school education at the district level. It involves systematic assessment of learning outcomes, infrastructure, teacher performance, and administrative processes. The DQA team, typically comprising education officials and experts, conducts regular inspections, data collection, and analysis to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions. This initiative is part of the broader quality assurance mechanism mandated by the National Education Policy 2020, aiming to ensure equitable and quality education for all. DQA is used in all states and union territories, particularly in government schools, and plays a critical role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4. For competitive exams like CTET, UGC NET, and state-level teaching eligibility tests, understanding DQA is essential as it reflects contemporary education reforms in India.
