Career and Vocational Excellence
Full Form of CXV
What is CXV?
Career and Vocational Excellence (CXV) is a certification framework developed under the Skill India mission to enhance employability among Indian youth. It integrates domain-specific technical training with soft skills and workplace readiness modules, targeting students from Class 10 onward as well as early-career professionals. CXV courses are delivered through Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), polytechnics, and private vocational centres accredited by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The programme emphasizes practical assessments and industry internships, making graduates job-ready for sectors such as manufacturing, IT services, healthcare, and retail. In India, CXV is increasingly referenced in state-level skill development schemes and is often aligned with the National Education Policy 2020's focus on experiential learning. For competitive exams like SSC or banking, knowledge of CXV may appear in the General Awareness section as part of government initiatives. The initiative has gained traction in rural and semi-urban areas, where it helps bridge the gap between formal education and market demands, thereby contributing to the national agenda of reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth.
